Child Tax Credit - IRS Online Tool

The Internal Revenue Service is urging taxpayers to use the special online tool to assist in determining whether the taxpayer qualifies for the child tax credit for 2021 and the special monthly advance payments beginning July 15, 2021.

The IRS says that the special online tool is interactive and easy to use so taxpayers can verify their eligibility for the child tax credit. You can access the tool at Advance Child Tax Credit Eligibility Assistant | Internal Revenue Service (irs.gov).

Separately, you can manage your payments, unenroll in the advance child tax credit, or update your bank account information at Advance Child Tax Credit Payments in 2021 | Internal Revenue Service (irs.gov)

The Internal Revenue Service has also issues statements indicating that the child tax eligibility assistant is also available in Spanish.
